Privacy Policy

Last updated August 6, 2026 · Effective August 6, 2026

The short version. WiredIN is a focus app. To work, it needs to know when you're focusing — so it stores your focus sessions, your streak, and your account.

Three things it deliberately does not do: it never learns which apps you block, it never uploads your location, and it never sells or shares your data with advertisers. Your app-blocking list and your Focus Zones stay on your iPhone. Always.

You can delete everything, permanently, from inside the app: Profile → Delete Account.

1.Who we are§

WiredIN ("WiredIN", "we", "us") is an iOS app published by an independent sole-proprietor developer based in the United States. For privacy law purposes, we are the data controller for the information described below.

Questions, requests, or complaints: wiredinapp@gmail.com.

2.What we collect§

Everything WiredIN handles falls into one of two buckets. The distinction matters, so it's laid out plainly:

DataWhere it livesWhy
Account Our servers Your email address or Apple ID identifier, and a display name you choose. Needed to sign you in and sync your history across reinstalls.
Focus sessions Our servers Start time, duration, focus mode, category, and any journal note you write in the recap. This is your history and the basis of every statistic in the app.
Streaks & goals Our servers Your current streak, longest streak, and the daily focus goal you set.
Friends Our servers Only if you use the social features: friend connections, nudges you send, and shared challenge participation.
Product analytics Our servers A small, fixed set of events — onboarding steps completed, paywall shown, subscription started. No third-party analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no cross-app tracking.
Blocked apps On device Your iPhone only Which apps and categories you block. See §3 — we could not upload this even if we wanted to.
Focus Zones On device Your iPhone only The places you designate for automatic blocking, and your location while detecting them. See §4.
Tasks, points, app limits On device Your iPhone only Your to-do list, notes, Wired Points balance, and per-app daily time limits. Stored in local app storage; never transmitted.
Calendar events On device Your iPhone only If you grant calendar access, WiredIN reads your events to show your day and suggest focus sessions that fit around them. Read on your device, in the moment, and never sent to our servers. See §6.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health data, or browsing history. WiredIN contains no advertising SDK and no third-party tracker.

What other people using WiredIN can see. Your display name and avatar are discoverable by username search, which is how someone adds you as a friend. Beyond that, your focus statistics — total minutes, session count, streak, and your recent session times — are visible only to people you have accepted as friends, or to people sharing a crew room with you at that moment. Nobody else can look you up, and no other user can ever read your journal notes, your tasks, your blocked-app list, or your Focus Zones. Remove a friend and that access ends with it.

Blocking and reporting. If you block someone we store the pair — who blocked whom — because that is the only way the block can be enforced. Neither of you can then find, friend, or nudge the other, and neither can read the other's profile. The person you blocked is never told. If you report someone, we store your report — the reason, anything you wrote, and both accounts — so we can act on it; reports are visible only to us, never to the person reported, and we keep one after you delete your account because it is evidence about them, with your identity detached from it.

3.Screen Time and app blocking§

WiredIN blocks distracting apps using Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time framework. This is worth understanding, because it is the strongest privacy guarantee in the app — and it is enforced by iOS, not by our promise.

Screen Time permission is requested only when you first set up blocking, and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings → Screen Time.

4.Location and Focus Zones§

Focus Zones is an optional feature that starts blocking automatically when you arrive at a place you've chosen — your office, a library, a desk.

To do that, WiredIN asks for location access, including background ("Always") access, because arriving at your desk should start a session whether or not the app is open.

You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → WiredIN. The rest of the app continues to work.

5.Subscriptions and payment§

WiredIN Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple processes the transaction and shares only whether a subscription is active.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status across your devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier and the Apple receipt, and acts as our service provider. It does not receive your name, email, or focus data.

6.Calendar and Reminders§

WiredIN reads your calendar, on your device, if you let it. With calendar access granted, it looks at the events in your calendars — their titles, times, and which calendar they belong to — so it can show you your day and suggest focus sessions that fit in the gaps between your commitments.

That reading happens entirely on your iPhone, at the moment a screen needs it. Your events are never sent to our servers, never stored by us, and never used for anything but drawing your own day back to you. We keep no copy. Revoke access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars and the rest of the app carries on working.

Reminders are write-only: when you send a task to Apple Reminders we ask iOS which lists exist so you can choose a destination, and then we write your task to it. We do not read the contents of your reminders.

If you export a scheduled session to Apple Calendar, that write also happens locally through Apple's frameworks at the moment you tap the button.

7.Who else touches your data§

We keep the list deliberately short. These are service providers acting on our instructions, not partners we share data with for their own purposes:

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not disclose it to third parties except as described here, or where legally compelled — in which case we will notify you unless prohibited from doing so.

8.How long we keep it, and how to delete it§

Your account data is retained while your account exists, because it is your history — deleting last month's sessions would erase your streak and your stats.

To erase everything, open the app and go to Profile → Delete Account. After two confirmations, your account and the data tied to it are permanently deleted from our database. This is immediate and irreversible. Deleted data may persist briefly in our hosting provider's routine encrypted database backups, which rotate on a short cycle, after which it is gone entirely.

Two things survive that deletion, and both survive without you attached to them:

Nothing else is retained: your sessions, streaks, goals, friendships, nudges, crew membership, and the account record itself are all removed outright.

Deleting the app alone does not delete your server data — use Delete Account first if that's your intent. Data stored only on your device (blocked apps, zones, tasks) is removed when you delete the app.

9.Your rights§

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. We honour all of the following for every user, regardless of location:

For users in the EEA and UK, our legal basis is performance of our contract with you (running the app), your consent (location, calendar, notifications), and our legitimate interest in a working, improving product (minimal analytics). For users in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

To exercise any right, email wiredinapp@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.

10.Security§

All network traffic uses TLS. Database access is governed by row-level security policies, so one account cannot read another's data. Authentication tokens are held in the iOS Keychain via Secure Store, not in plain app storage. Our servers hold no payment credentials and no location data.

No system is perfect. If we ever discover a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as required by law.

11.Children§

WiredIN is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, email wiredinapp@gmail.com and we will delete it.

12.Changes to this policy§

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. For material changes — a new category of data, a new recipient — we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect, so it is never a surprise.

13.Contact§

Privacy questions, data requests, or anything on this page that doesn't match what you see in the app:
